Falling
By Lisa Rigsbee

* Blurb *
After seventeen year-old Sophie’s mom dies in a tragic accident, she is so engulfed with guilt and sadness, she feels like she could literally, simply lie down and die. But a few months later, on the night she and her friends experiment with a Ouija board, things begin to change in unimaginable ways. Sophie begins to hear, and then see, Nick, a boy who has been dead for two years. This story tells of their blossoming friendship, young love, and how, through Nick, Sophie learns to live again. But even in the spirit world, happiness can’t last forever. There is a dark side to this otherworldly friendship. Not all spirits are good. Sophie’s dreams become haunting, scary nightmares. And soon these nightmares become reality, and lead Nick and Sophie into a battle against this evil spirit. They must fight for her life, but even if they can figure out how to fight a ghost, Sophie isn’t sure she wants to. If she dies, she could be with Nick forever.

FALLING grips emotions and keeps the reader turning pages late into the night.

Shelly Crane Cover Reveal!!

Expected Publication Summer, 2013

**Blurb **
Jude has spent the whole twenty one years of his life running. From what, he wasn't quite sure. His mother tried to keep him safe; a low profile, a constant move on the horizon, a week's pay always stashed away. She tried to instill in him that he was special somehow, though would never elaborate. He never felt different. He was so completely normal and vanilla that he wondered if it had all been in her head. But then she was murdered and all he saw was a running silhouette of a man as his mother said three final words to him. Three words that changed his whole being.

          Never stop running…

Now he's semi-settled into a big town. The college is huge and easy to blend into. It's been three months since he had to move because 'Biloxi', as he calls the man who killed his mother, found him once more.

Then Marley, an eighteen year old girl who is as infuriating as she is blissfully ignorant of her gorgeousness, smashes into his car with hers. Then smashes into his life as he realizes that whatever it is he has that Biloxi wants, she has it, too. And now, they're after them both.

** Special Excerpt **

And now, as I stared out into the dark rain to see a POS car sideways in the road, I knew the world hated me, had to, because someone had just smashed her car into my truck.

I got out and braced myself. It wasn't easy to pay cash for new cars every time I needed to skip town. It was hard living when you couldn't be who you really were. Finding people to pay you under the table was almost impossible these days.

I groaned and glared at the beauty standing at the end of my truck. "Look at that!"

"I'm so sorry," she began. I could tell she really was, but I was beyond pissed. "I'll call my insurance company right now."

That stopped me. "No!" I shouted and she jolted at the verbal assault. "No insurance."

"Well," she pondered, "what do you mean? I have good insurance."

         "But I don't."

She turned her head a bit in thought and then her mouth fell open as she realized what I was saying. "You don’t have any insurance, do you?"

"No," I answered. "Look. Whatever, we'll just call this even-steven, because you did hit me."

"Even-steven my butt!" she yelled and scurried to jump in front of me, blocking my way.

"And what a cute butt it is."

Even through the noise of water hitting metal, I heard her intake of breath. The rain pelted us in the dark. I hoped no one came around the corner. It would be hard for them to see us here in the middle of the road. She might get hurt. Then I wondered why I cared.

"Look, buddy," she replied and crossed her arms. It drew my eyes to her shirt. My eyes bulged 'cause that shirt…well, it was see-through now. She caught on and jerked her crossed arms higher. "How dare you! You're on a roll in the jerkface department, you know that!"

"My specialty," I said and saluted as I climbed in my truck. "Get your pretty butt in your car and let's pretend this never happened, shall we?"

Because if cops and insurance were brought into this, I'd be on the run sooner than I thought.

         She huffed. "Excuse me-"

"Darling. Car. Now." She glared. "Like right now."

She threw her hands up in the air and yelled, "I knew chivalry was dead!" before climbing in her car and driving away. She didn't know it, but I was being as chivalrous as they come. I made sure she got out of the rain and back into her car, even though she didn't like the way I did it, and I got her as far away from me as I could.

In my book, I deserved a freaking medal for being so chivalrous. Because people that stuck with me didn't live long.

         Just ask my mom.

Oh, wait, you can't. She died long, long years ago saving my life. I refused to bring anyone onto this sinking ship with me. If it finally did go down, I was going down alone.

Thank you SO much for doing this!!
Thank you too, Katy, for the invite!!
(note: I feel amazingly cool that we have same name LoL)

Could you tell us a little about yourself?
About me, well, let's see. I've been a reader all my life and I am in love with love itself. I am one of those people who truly believes it is the most worthwhile, beautiful sentiment and experience of our lives! I believe it is powerful and pure and I love, love, love writing about people in love like Remington and Brooke.

How did you come up with the idea to write Real?
It all started with Remington, who'd been in my head for some time, sexy and mysterious as hell, tempting him to get to know him.

Who do you see playing Remy? Brooke?
The other day SUB CLUB cast Marco Dapper as Remy and I have to say, I agree! Also Kellan Lutz could make a good Remy. Chris Hemsworth. Jennifer Lawrence or Emma Stone could be Brooke.

Do you have a Favorite Quotes/moments from Real?
Oh, I have tons! - He's not just a star, he's the whole fucking sky to me! (from Brooke)
You're my mate, and I've claimed you. (From Remy)
I truly have a lot of quotes I love.

Who is your favorite character? Why?
I love them all so much! Brooke is a beautiful, strong, modern girl. Remington? He stole my heart from page one and to this day hasn't given it back! Melanie is the best! Pete, Riley, Coach, Diane, Nora, they are all such great characters and hold such special places in my heart. But of course REMINGTON TATE steals the show, how can he not? He took over my brain just like he did Brooke's! :)

If you could take any of your characters on a dream date what would you do and with who?
I would never take Remington away from Brooke, because I know she is all that he wants, and all that he needs. But I'd love to take them to a date together so I can soak up their love, then send them off so they can get cozy on their own. They deserve it after what they went through!

Who designed your cover?
Sarah, from Okay Creations, she is the best!!!!

What are you writing now? Could we hear anything about it?
I'm working on MINE, the sequel to REAL, which picks up where REAL left off (and before the Epilogue).

What are a couple of your favorite songs you listen to well writing?
Iris by Goo Goo Dolls,

I Love You by Avril Lavigne
most of those in the Real playlist.
Love Song by Sara Bareilles
In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel
Come Away With Me by Nora Jones
All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You by Heart
Anyway You Want It by Journey
I Love You Like A Love Song by Selena Gomez
My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson
Flaws and All by Beyonce
The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes
That’s When I Knew by Alicia Keys

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in writing?
The outside distractions that won't let me "connect" to the characters. It's sometimes a challenge to be able to turn out all of that so you can "tune in" to the magic!

Besides writing is there anything else you like to do to enjoy your time?
I love going out for walks with my dogs. Reading. Making homemade ice cream. Taking photographs of my children.

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous. living or dead. real or fictional. Who would you be?
I would enjoy being my husband! Hahah. Just because I want to know exactly what it is to be him.

Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans/readers?
Thank you, thank you, thank you. For opening your hearts to Real, for loving Remington, Brooke, the cast just like I do. I can't wait to share more of them with you!

*Author Bio*
I am not going to talk in the third person. It feels weird.
I am a Bestselling author of Paranormal Romance, Post Apocalyptic, Contemporary, Romance, and Fantasy novels. I write a lot of books and jump Genres all the time. Mostly because I think I have Writers ADD, I like to call it WADD. It might be a real thing. I write YA some of the time but mostly New Adult, my books have sexual content (Heck yes) and Swearing. You have been warned. Now enjoy!

I have a beagle named Buster, a husband who I force to read everything I write and two girls who want so badly to be a character in my books. And not in that order. I am mid thirties so be prepared for the chick lit novel this year. I am calling it my Ode to my Midlife Crisis. I'm kidding. It's actually called The Single Lady Spy Series and it is an adult romantic-thriller series. The first book, The End of Me is due out April of 2013. It is a sexy and fresh series with the lightest touch of erotic naughtiness. I have been writing since I was old enough to lie. So for some time. If you're wondering about the hat, it's my 'Hey I'm Canadian Toque'
